WEST BALI TOURS with Bali Safari Tours
TANAH LOT : a temple famous for its location on a barren1,
lava rock jutting into the sea. We see it in a breathtaking view,
without any crowds. The tour climbs into the slopes of the lush forests
of Batukaru, Bali's second highest mountain.
PURA LUHUR : You stop at the island's most mystical and sacred
temple, an ancient building to worship the ancestors. You will see
teak and giant mahogany trees, orchids, ferns and colorful butterflies.
JATILUWIH : Bali's most beautiful rice terraces, with a view
of all of south Bali. You will witness planting and harvesting of
rice in a way the ancestors have done it for thousands of years. You
will stop at coffe Plantations, take photos of cacao and clove trees,
and vanilla farms before you are taken higher up. Info the mountains.
BEDUGUL : The safari jeep climbs up to 1200m to reach the mountain
lakes, of west Bali. After an Indonesian buffet lunch you will walk
the shores of picturesque mountain retreat home to the most ancient
goddes, Dewi Danu.
FRUIT & SPICE MARKET : Discover in Bali's best marketplace
the many varieties of Indonesian spices. See some fruits you never
have seen before.
TRADITIONAL BALINESE VILLAGE : Impressions of Balinese life.
We will visit a farmer's house, be introduced to Hindu beliefs, the
family house shrines, rites of passage,. We will also see how the
famous fighting cocks are trained.
CENTRAL BALI
TIRTA EMPUL : Bali's holiest spring is located in a thousand
year old temple. Your tour guide will introduce you to ceremonies,
offerings and sacrifices.
BATUR VOLCANO : After a short break and a cool drink you
will continue your tour uphill to the rim of Batur Volcano. The
first glimpse of the smoking, active volcano and brilliant blue
Batur lake is already very impressive, but we drive down into the
crater and through the lava fields of this most remote area in a
very unique and unforgettable experience.
PURA BATUR : You will visit Bali's second largest temple,
home to the god of the lakes, and the gods of the mountains.
AYUNG RIVER : Relax and eat at Bali's most beautiful riverside
setting.
UBUD : After lunch we stop in Ubud, the village of artists,
which made Bali famous. In the palace of the prince of Ubud, you
will get a unique introduction to Bali's most charming arts: The
paintings, woodcarvings and architecture.
GOA GAJAH : The cave is hermitage from the 11th century,
famous for its ancient statues, and surrealistic stone carvings.
EAST BALI
PURA KEHEN : Bangli. Probably the most beautiful temple
in Bali. Built in the 11th century, the temple hosts the biggest
bayan tree of the island, a holy tree for the Balinese.
BESAKIH : You stop at the island's most mystical and sacred
temple, an ancient building to workship the ancestors. the most
important temple of the island.
SELAT : Bali's most astonishing rice terraces, with a spectacular
view. You will witness the planting and harvesting of rice in a
way the gener ations
of Balinese have done it for a thousands of years. Your guide will
explain to you the world's most astonishing and biggest irrigation
system.
TENGANAN : Bali Aga (Tribal) Village with some astonishing
traditions, dances, music, and strange rituals. Tenganan is renowed
for its unique weaving techniques, which are used to produce the
magic "Geringsing" fabric, which is believed to aid against
sickness and evil powers.
CANDI DASA: Lunch in a fine restaurant right on the beach.
Swimming and snorkeling are also possible.
GOA LAWAH : A batcave, which since the Stone Age has been
a secret place for the spirits of the lower worlds. The cave is
inhabited by thousands of bats, and from giant snakes, which are
honored as gods.
SALT PRODUCTION : An ancient method, still utilized today,
of salt production will be demonstrated at the black volcanic beaches
of East Bali.
KLUNGKUNG : Historical significant city, which was the residence
of Bali's highest raja, the Dewa Agung.
KERTA GOSA : Located in Klungkung, the Kerta Gosa was the
highest court of Bali. The 280 years old building is famous for
its classic roof paintings.
JEEP TOUR 2 DAYS
The tour starts early in the morning and takes you right away to
the cultural cen ters
of Bali. You will be visiting the Elephant Cave, Goa Gajah, and
the King Tombs of Gunung Kawi. From there you will be taken to one
of Bali's most dramatic sights: the large Batur caldera, where you
will enjoy a view of Bali's most active volcano and picturesque
Batur Lake. You will visit Bali's most elevated temple, Pura Penulisan
and eventually reach its north cost where you stop at spectacular
Pura Beji, a famous rice temple. Overnight in Lovina Beach. Your
second day is all landscapes as you drive through spectacular scenery
in West Bali. You will stop at coffe and cocoa plantations, see
clove forests and enjoy the magnificent rice terraces at Blingbing.
Eventually you will go to one of Bali's major highlights the famous
sea temple of Tanah Lot in the late afternoon.
